AMOS 5 satellite abruptly ceases to work.

     The operator of AMOS 5 satellite said it doing everything possible to restore the satellite after its abruptly ceased to function on Saturday morning, 21st of November, 2015. The CEO of the company David Pollack was reported to have said that they are working round the clock to restore Amos 5 signal to customers. Amos 5 contact was completely lost on Saturday morning. The system completely collapsed on Nov 21st without notice. Amos 5 is run by Israeli company but the satellite was built for Spacecom by Russian Manufacturer NPO PM. Amos 5 was launched in 2011 and covered over Africa, Europe and Middle east. Amos 5 is the power house of free to air channels in Africa as up to 80 free channels are been broadcast to its final consumer through the satellite.
