   Four new television channels have been added to SES 5 @ 5 degree East Ku and C band with frequencies 12379 H 27500, 4001 R 1851. The channels include the following:
* NDTV 24/7 News
* AIT Lagos
* Quest TV
* DCLM TV ( Deeper Life TV)
       Two new television channels have been added to NigeriaNigeria-run Nigcomsat 1R @ 42 degree East Ku band with frequencies 12518 H 29500. The channels include the following:
* GVTV
* TVC News
    Two new television channels have also been added to Apstar 6  @ 134 degree East C band with frequency 3917 V 1200, 4068 H 9629. The channels include the following:
* TV3 HD
* CTN TV
     Finally, Love Nature is free on Intelsat 11 @ 43 degree East C band with frequency 4185 H 20709. In the same way, Trace Urban is free on Hotbird 13C @ 13 degree East  Ku band with frequency 10919 V 27500. A news television channel named Hitv have also resumed transmission on Abs 3w @ 3 degree  west Ku band with frequency 11058 V 16666.
