Different between Horizontal (H) / Vertical (V) and Left Hand Circular (L)/ Right Hand Circular in Satellite frequency.

After receiving whatsapp and email messages from some of our distinguished and valued Century Sat family, friends and visitors on the differences between Horizontal (H)/ Vertical ( V) and Left Hand Circular frequency (L)/ Right Hand circular frequency ( R). Since Century Sat is committed to serve you, I cannot ignored this request. Read this article carefully so that, you will understand the differences.
Television frequency signal is transmitted through satellite which could be KU band or C band satellites. Satellites used either LINEAR OR CIRCULAR polarization. Now LINEAR polarization uses Horizontal ( H) / Vertical (V) to transmit to earth through KU band.
Secondly, some satellites transmits to earth through C band using what is called CIRCULAR polarization signals. This this case, it's uses Left Hand Circular frequency ( L)/ Right Hand Circular frequency ( R). This Circular polarization do seen to be rotating in either Left and Right hand direction to the surface of the earth. Please note that, when satellites signal are on Vertical axis, it means, the satellite is at 90 degree to the surface of the earth. In the same way, if satellite is on Horizontal axis, it means the signals are parallel to earth surface.
In summary, Linear polarization uses Horizontal (H)/ Vertical ( V) while Circular polarization uses Left hand circular frequency ( L)/ Right hand Circular frequency ( R).
